Now, i have hold the playbook for two weeks. It looks and feels nicely. I took many tests on it, just like play bluray or DVD movies, get screenshots, watch video on my tv via HDMI etc. but i ignored that the playbook supports 1080p video playback. How about the video quality? Maybe i should to import some 1080p video into the playbook to figure out.
So i downloaded a 1080p trailer of the Tangled ( mkv format ). And started Pavtube video converter. I selected the HD Video and choose format as h.264 HD video mp4. Then in “settings”, i adjust the size as 1920*1080.
and started the conversion. Although i did the high resolution and the high quatily setting, the conversion speed is really fast. At the same time, the resulting file is just the quality i wanted. it looked pretty clear as the original. Then i transfered the converted file to playbook via USB cable and played it, playback is smooth and the audio effect is wonderful.
