The BlackBerry PlayBook is probably the smallest high-profile tablet to come out in 2011. Measuring 5 inches tall, 7.5 inches wide and a slim 0.4 inch thick, the PlayBook’s design has more on common with the Samsung Galaxy Tab of 2010 than the 10-inch tablets marking headlines this year. One of the big features you’ll notice about the PlayBook is its 1080p HD video playback.
Since playbook supported 1080p video playback, the first thing i want to do is put my blu-ray movies on playbook. Do you think so? But the playbook just like other tablets, it can’t play discs. So we must decrypt and convert blu-ray to playbook supported formats.
With Foxreal Blu-ray Ripper or Foxreal Blu-ray Ripper for mac you can easily do the conversion things. This guide will show you how to rip blu-ray for playing them on PlayBook in a simple way.
Step 1: Run Foxreal blu-ray to PlayBook converter. Add you blu-ray movies.
Step 2: Choose BlackBerry PlayBook playable video format
Click on “Format” drop-down list, you could easily choose BlackBerry PlayBook supported video format from its “BlackBerry” or “HD Video” category. Generally, if you want to get the best video quality on your BlackBerry PlayBook, the video formats (H.264/MPEG, etc) on “HD Video” category are recommended here.
Step 3: Customize output settings for PlayBook
If you want to adjust profile settings for PlayBook to get the quality you need, just click on “Settings“. For full HD screen playback on BB-PlayBook, you’d better adjust Size (pix) as 854×480 resolution. Or, you could set the resolution as 1024×600 to fit its HD display screen.
(Notice: Please remember the bigger bitrate, the better video quality while the larger file size.)
Step 4: Click “Convert” button.
Step 5: Transfer the converted files onto BlackBerry PlayBook via USB
After the above processes, you can readily watch blu-ray films on PlayBook.
That’s all! Hope the converting blu-ray to PlayBook can help you!
