Music and podcasts downloaded from iTunes are compatible with Android phones in most cases. Music purchased from iTunes is in the AAC format and Podcasts MP3, which are compatible with Nexus 4. But there are exceptions- songs bought from iTunes prior to the April 2009 are protected by DRM and thus can not be played on Android device. At the same time, all movies and TV shows rented or purchased from iTunes have DRM restrictions. Because Android doesn’t support Apple’s iTunes DRM, video from iTunes won’t work on Nexus 4.
