Microsoft Surface RT is a groundbreaking achievement, something that should be recognized and applauded. Rather than offer something that’s indistinguishable from every other tablet available, Microsoft bravely developed a device that aims to usher in a new segment altogether.
Now we have the Microsoft Surface RT tablet on market –just like iPad and any Android tablet– without DVD support. Since there’s no room for a DVD-ROM on a 10.6-inch tablet, though its screen (1366×768) presents movie in pretty good quality. Never mind, real movie fans always get their hands on creative solutions to meet their needs. Here’s a guide for movie lovers – playing DVD movies on Microsoft Surface RT by ripping and putting DVDs onto the Windows RT tablet.
So we need a DVD ripper to do the DVD to Windows 8 Surface RT conversion. Pavtube DVD Ripper is highly recommended. How to convert DVD movies to Microsoft Surface RT
Step 1. After the installtion of the Surface DVD Ripper, Click the “Load DVD” button to choose and import DVD movies from your computer’s DVD-ROM.
Step 2. Click “Format” bar, follow “Windows > Microsoft Surface Windows RT H.264 Video (*.mp4)”. The output videos is encoded in 16:9, which fits Surface RT tablet Full Screen just right.
Note: You need to install a Patch File to get the Surface preset.
You can also click “Settings” to manually change the video encoder, resolution, frame rate, etc. as you wish.
Step 3. When all is OK, click “Start” to rip DVD for Windows 8 Surface RT. After the ripping, you can click “Open” to locate the converted MP4 video files and just transfer them to your Windows 8 Surface RT for watching anywhere!
